Think of it like skincare, a spa experience, or traveling for leisure. When you have been through the elevating experience, it brings the intimacy journey - be it for yourself, or with another partner - to another level that you did not think you would have needed it before.
Before we begin, let's understand more about our sexual anatomy.
Many have made the assumption the clitoris is simply the pea-sized spot above the vaginal introitus. (i.e. the opening to vagina).
This is a misconception - what is visible, is merely the clitoral glans.
The clitoris is a complex structure, and its size and sensitivity can vary. The entire clitoral anatomy can in fact, be 10cm or more.
The glans (head) of the human clitoris is roughly the size and shape of a pea, and is estimated to have about 8,000 sensory nerve endings.
These nerve endings spread under the 2 pairs of labia (a.k.a. the lips on the outside of the vagina, known as the labia majora, and the folds of skin on the inside that lead to the vagina, called the labia minora) and across internally around the vagina canal.
For more information, you can also watch this video where Dr. Angela Tan explains about the female genital anatomy.
External stimulation refers to the sexual stimulation on the clitoral glans and around the labia, i.e. the vulva that is externally visible.
Internal stimulation refers to the sexual stimulation via the penetrative act through the vaginal canal, to stimulate the clitoral nerve endings that are around the vaginal canal.
Communications and awareness is key to getting the conversations going and for the mind to open up.
If a man can masturbate since puberty as a biological need, what is the logical reason a woman cannot do the same?
Different people respond differently to what makes them tick in life generally, be it in food preferences, movie preferences, study preferences, etc.
Masturbation is the exploratory process to understanding what gets you going in bed.
Some prefer sweet over savory for their cuisines; others prefer k-pop over classical for their music playlists. Some musicians prefer one instrument over another, such as the violin over the piano etc to better express themselves to touch the right chord.
As with the use of sex toys, it's a way to find the right nerve to hit delicately as there is complete control to maneuver the object.
Just as the musician is the soul with the instrument in hand as a tool, a sex toy is by no means, a replacement of the human touch in the intimacy journey, and instead plays a secondary role to helping you to get in touch with yourself, and elevate the pleasure to the next level with yourself, and/or your partner.
At ZaZaZu, we curate products to facilitate the exploration process, and unless requested specifically, our curation is focused on discrete, non-intimidating high-quality products that are pleasant to the feel, touch and sight, even if it's left on the living room coffee table.
Dildos are sex toys used for insertion and generally do not vibrate. Therefore, when one is looking at internal stimulation, dildos are often what come to mind.
A dildo is designed for penetrative use in the vagina, mouth, or anus.
Dildos that vibrate, are often called "vibrating dildos".
Vibrators are toys that vibrate and mostly designed for clitoral stimulation, of which 80% of women need in order to reach orgasm. Therefore, vibrators are often used for external stimulations.
